Covid-19 and The Mail Box (as of Feb. 9, 2021)
After nearly a year of pandemic regulations, our procedures for customer interaction are very simple: wear a mask and don't crowd around other people.
In the interest of postery, the original text is below:
The Mail Box will maintain an open weekday schedule to ensure the continuation of essential mailing services. Effective the week of March 23, we will be closing on Saturdays until further notice. Until further notice, we will continue closing our doors early at 5:00 PM.
If you are a private mailbox holder, please feel free to contact us and ask about essential letters or packages to determine if you need to visit or not.
Fingerprint applicants via Fieldprint must wear a face mask--shirts, rags, bandanas, etc. will not suffice. Your appointment will be turned away if you have visible symptoms of covid-19.
We are practicing CDC guidelines on keeping a clean interactive environment. Additionally, we may mandate visitors to wait outside to ensure social distancing. Complex packaging requests will be accepted on a case by case basis. If your package is not ready to send as is, you may be asked to return when it is.
We are not encouraging non-life critical package sending, but ways of life must continue. However, reckless behavior will not be tolerated. To protect our customers who are more susceptible to illness, if you are symptomatic and visit without a face mask, you will be told to leave. If you do not maintain social distance, unnecessarily touch products and surfaces, or otherwise act in an unsafe manner, you will be told to leave.
Crisis denialists are not welcome and will be banned. Suspected critical item arbritage will be reported to the relevant authorities.
To those who have already visited, we appreciate the kind praise on remaining open for critical infrastructure. We deeply admire our community's desire to support local small business during these trying times.
Stay healthy, physically and mentally.
